 Delegates from the Scottish Health Campaigns Network will meet with the Secretary of Health and Wellbeing, Nicola Sturgeon at St Andrews House, Edinburgh, tomorrow, Wednesday 19 April at 11 am.
The items on the agenda are :
1) Improvements to complaints procedure for hospital patients ( Scottish Patients' Association) 2) Provision for a safe and sustainable ambulance service in remote and rural areas (Cowal) 3) Concerns relating to the new adult and children's hospitals at the site of the Southern General Hospital, Glasgow ( South East Health Forum) 4) Perceived lack of communication by NHS Fife with residents in Fife in regard to changes in hospital services. (Local Health Concern) 5) Absence of chemotherapy for outpatients at new Stobhill Hospital, continuation of groups in north and south Glasgow to monitor progress of new hospitals at Stobhill Hospital and Victoria Infirmary until completion. ( Dr Robert Cumming, chair SHCN) 6) Services provided by community pharmacies, demand for scrutiny panel to review evidence for changes to services provided at Stobhill Hospital ( Save Stobhill Campaign) 7) Proposal that a change be made to the Primary Medical Services Act 2004 to ensure that private healthcare providers cannot take over GP practices and Health Centres ( Julie McAnulty-Lanarkshire).
